Honglan Subdistrict

Overview

Honglan Subdistrict lies in the south of Lishui District. The administrative divisions page gives its area as 108.99 sq km, with 8 residents' committees and 4 villagers' committees; its seat is at Sanliting residents' committee.

Its statistical division code is 320117005, as recorded by the Department of Civil Affairs of Jiangsu Province in its table of county-level and below changes for 2018.

Administrative history

In May 2018 the provincial government approved the abolition of Honglan Town and the establishment of Honglan Subdistrict; the approval was issued on 15 May 2018. The district government's historical evolution page records only the month.

Traditional villages within the subdistrict

This subdistrict holds more provincial traditional villages than any other in the district. Three can be identified by name:

• Cangkou, in Tangxi Village, in the first batch of traditional villages of Jiangsu (2020).
• Shannan Village, in the seventh batch (announced January 2024). The Nanjing Daily report writes "Shannan Village, Honglan Town, Lishui", reproducing the former town name; the village now belongs to Honglan Subdistrict.
• Shangzhuang, in Shanggang Community, in the eighth batch (published August 2025, publicly noticed the previous July).

Points of doubt

• All three were identified village by village from the published lists; each has its own entry in the villages section of this library. This entry records only the relationship and does not repeat the village texts.
• In the seventh-batch report, Shannan Village is written together with the former town name; the standard village name still needs checking.
