Traditional village listing

The list published on the provincial housing department's website on 8 April 2020 records 107 villages in the first batch of traditional villages of Jiangsu. Zhujia appears as "Zhujia, Zhangjia Village, Hefeng Town".

Surnames and ancestral halls

The Paper reported on 8 April 2020 that the ancestral hall of the Zhu family in the village was built some four hundred years ago, with three bays in depth and three in width, whitewashed walls and grey tiles, a floor area of 638 square metres, and stepped gable walls in the Huizhou manner. The report is a second-hand source of moderate authority; the form, protection grade and publication batch of the hall belong to the history site of this group, and this entry records only village-level facts.

Points of doubt

• "Built four hundred years ago" is the report's approximation and is not used here as a dating; the hall's exact date would require an inscription or genealogy, which this library does not hold.
• The origin of the name and the date of founding are not recorded in the sources used here.
• Zhujia is a settlement within Zhangjia Village and has a separate entry from the administrative village.
